Privacy and Cookie Notice

This is the Privacy Policy of TimePlay Inc. (“TimePlay”) and its associated brands, such as STREAMSIX. This policy describes how TimePlay processes the personal information we collect about you when you use our websites, products, and services, or when you stream, play, or view our games across numerous platforms and providers (collectively, "Services").

1. What is Personal Information

Personal Information is information or an opinion that can be used to reasonably identify an individual. Personal Information includes information that you provide to us voluntarily, information we automatically collect when you visit our website, information we gather when you communicate with us, information collected on account opening, and information collected when you engage us for services and products.

We limit the Personal Information we collect from you in order to provide you with Services, and to maintain a relationship with you and our clients. The information we collect depends on what Services you use, how you use them, and where you access them from.

In some cases, you will be engaging directly with TimePlay, such as for online games that are TimePlay branded. In these cases, we are seen as the Controller of information, and this Privacy Policy will apply.


In other cases, you may be engaging in a game we provide to another operator, such as on cruise ships, in bars or casinos, or at other venues. In these cases, we are seen as the Processor of information, and the Privacy Policy of the respective venue or operator will apply. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with the operator’s privacy practices and direct any queries or complaints directly to them.

2.1 Information you give us directly

We collect information that you give us directly, such as when you create an account, express interest in our Services, make purchases, engage in Services, sign up as a host, request support, or participate in a stream.

We collect information that you provide us, such as:

  • Your TimePlay or STREAMSIX account information, including your email address, username, name, country, date of birth, and password;
  • Information you provide in response to newsletters and events;
  • Information and opinions you provide as part of user focus groups;
  • Information you provide when seeking support from us, such as your name, contact details, and records of the issues you experience; and
  • Information you provide when communicating with us through any paper or electronic form.

2.2 Information you provide when playing online

When you play our games, we may collect information about your gaming profile, your gameplay, your interactions with others, or your use of social features.

When you participate in social features such as chat, any audio, visual, and/or electronic information that you disclose may be read, copied, collected, or used by other players, hosts, and streamers, and may become publicly available. Please make sure your privacy settings and engagements reflect your preferences.

When you participate in online multiplayer games, your in-game profile information, gameplay, and statistics are visible and may be replayed to other players in-game, on leaderboards, and at live or partner events.

2.3 Information you provide when playing in venues

When you play our games in a venue to which we provide Services (be it on land or on sea), you are subject to the venue’s Privacy Policy and practices. Please familiarize yourself with their notice for the information provided to us as part of your participation.

2.4 Other information we collect when you use our Services

We may collect other information automatically when you use our Services, such as:

  • IP address;
  • Approximate geolocation data (derived from IP or device settings);
  • Session identifiers, to associate your account to a browser session;
  • Browser information, including your browser type and the language preference;
  • Details about the games or Services you purchase or obtain from us, and your use of them;
  • In-app purchases made in TimePlay developed games;
  • Device event information, including crash reports, request and referral URLs, and system activity and transaction details (e.g., whether you encountered an error playing our games or lost Internet access); and
  • Other information (such as your likeness) that you may provide as part of your participation in live events.

We also may collect and store information locally on your device, using mechanisms like cookies, browser web storage, and application data caches.

2.5 Information provided to us by third parties

We may receive information about you contained in third-party user accounts when you use TimePlay Services through third-party gaming platforms, such as those listed below. This information is provided to TimePlay as part of establishing or linking an account, which is necessary to access and engage with TimePlay Services (such as games and leaderboards). Your use of TimePlay Services through these third-parties indicates your agreement for the transfer of this information. Examples of information we receive are provided below. We never receive your credit card number or other financial information from these third-parties as part of establishing or linking a TimePlay account.

  • Social Gaming Platforms. When you use third-party social gaming platforms (such as Discord or Twitch) and link your TimePlay account, we may receive information associated with your account on those platforms. Please review the Privacy Policy and notices presented to you when linking your accounts for details on the information TimePlay receives.
  • Mobile Platforms. If you play or purchase our games on your mobile device or tablet, we receive information about you from the app stores and other mobile platform providers. This information may include your username or device ID and the fact that you made a purchase, as applicable, but does not include any financial information. Some of our mobile platforms may send information to us that you authorize them to provide. Our mobile games also may request additional personal information from you, such as push notification tokens, your device's specific location, or contact list, and we will collect this information only if you give us your consent.
  • Venues. If you play or partake in our games inside a venue, they will provide us with your information to deliver the experience, such as your guest, loyalty, or passenger ID, your room number, and your chosen name or nickname. When you play our games in a venue (be it on land or on sea), you are subject to the venue’s Privacy Policy and practices. Please familiarize yourself with their notice for the information provided to us as part of your participation.
  • Casinos. If you choose to play or use the Services in one of our partner Casinos or gaming arcades and/or participate in online gaming experiences, we may collect your personal identifiers, customer records and commercial information. We also collect information about your gaming activity, such as the games you play, duration of play, results of play, total amount wagered, and amount of winnings. We may use this information to verify your identity and age, to determine your eligibility for promotions and offers, and to communicate directly with you. In addition, we may use this information to generate win/loss statement, or otherwise as needed to comply with our legal obligations and to prevent or investigate fraud. Casinos are governed by the Casino partner’s Privacy Policy. Please familiarize yourself with their notice for the information provided to us as part of your participation

3. Categories of Personal Information Processed

  • Personal identifiers such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, likeness, date of birth or similar identifiers.
  • Customer records such as your identification documents, financial information, or account details.
  • Commercial information such as your account data, or information about the Services purchased or considered.
  • Preferences you provide to us or generated through your use of the Services, including inferences we may make based on our experience with you.
  • Internet, network and device information from the browser or device you use to access our Services, which could include your IP address, device ID, cookie identifiers, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and or clickstream data.
  • Gaming information such as statistics, gameplay data, winnings, and other metrics generated when you make use of the Services.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Undertake research and analysis to develop and demonstrate our technology, and to better understand our players;
  • Populate online leaderboards and enable online matchmaking;
  • Provide replays to you and other players via spectator modes;
  • Help you find your friends or tell your friends about a TimePlay game or Service;
  • Facilitate sharing on social networks;
  • Manage and serve targeted and contextual advertising;
  • Measure the effectiveness and distribution of advertising, including understanding who engages with our Services and how they interact with our Services;
  • Measure the health of our Services;
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity, and prosecute those responsible for that activity;
  • Set up and maintain accounts for which you register;
  • Provide game experiences that you may like;
  • Set up and facilitate loyalty programs;
  • Facilitate your gameplay on multiple devices and/or platforms, as applicable;
  • Identify, fix, and troubleshoot bugs or functionality errors;
  • Provide software updates;
  • Authenticate and activate your games and save game-play data;
  • Facilitate competitions and contests;
  • Perform audits, transactions, and other compliance activities;
  • Adhere to your preferences and to deliver content;
  • Help keep our Services safe and fair, resolve disputes, investigate and help curb fraud and illegal behavior, comply with the law, and to enforce our agreements and policies; and
  • Other purposes you consent to, are notified of, or are otherwise disclosed to you when you provide personal information.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

The following legal grounds for processing your personal information (as described in the section “How we use your information”) are used:

  • Consent. We may need your consent in connection with our promotional activities in particular, such as sending you promotional messages, or to deploy certain cookies when you use our online services. Where we need your consent, you have the right not to provide consent, or to withdraw it at any time. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of our use of your personal information before your withdrawal. If you have granted us consent to use your personal information, we will use it only for the purposes specified in the consent declaration. Please note that to the extent our processing is based on your consent and you deny your consent or withdraw it, we may not be able to provide the Service requested. Besides from that, neither the initial denial nor a withdrawal will have any negative consequences for you.

  • Compliance with Legal Obligations. We may be obliged to process personal information to comply with our legal obligations, for example where we are required to retain data for tax law or commercial purposes or where we must comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Legitimate Interests. We may base the processing of your personal information on our legitimate interests where (i) none of the above listed legal bases apply and (ii) where the processing of your personal information is necessary for our legitimate interests. Such cases may include:

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Other Technologies

6.1 Cookies and Similar Technologies

A "cookie" is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your web browser and uniquely identifies your browser. Similar technologies, such as pixels, web beacons, or clear GIFs, may also be used on our Services. For simplicity, all of these technologies will be referred to as “cookies” in this Notice.

Like many other websites and apps, we use third parties, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how individuals use our websites and apps. The information collected is aggregated and we cannot identify who you are. We do collect your IP address, which in some jurisdictions is considered Personal Information.

Cookies help us collect information so we can better understand how users access and navigate our websites and apps. This information helps us develop and improve the design, layout, content and function of our websites and apps. It also allows us to prevent fraud and improve our security.

We may also use cookies to track activity and click-through behaviour to better understand your preferences and browsing habits and to provide a more personalized experience while visiting websites and apps and for more personalized alerts. Cookies also help us to remember user preferences, such as your preferred language or username, to give you a better and more convenient experience.

The cookies used by our websites and apps do not contain any Personal Information about you, but they may identify your specific computer or mobile device. We do not use non-essential cookies without your permission. Non-essential cookies are cookies that are required for our website to operate and to provide you with the experience that you expect. Cookies collect information on an aggregate basis and in most cases we cannot directly identify you.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically but can be configured not to accept them. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser and/or choose to opt-in/out using the websites and apps Cookie Banner. If you choose to disable cookies, some of the features and services on our Services may not function properly.  

6.2 Analytics Technologies

We may also use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Services. In particular, our Services may use Google Analytics to help track, monitor, and report traffic on our Services. Google tracks information such as (i) your IP address; (ii) the type of web browser and operating system being used; (iii) how you navigate our Services; and (iv) other websites you visited before visiting our Services. Google compiles this information into aggregated statistical reports that are used by us to optimize our Services and enhance user experience. Google may also transfer this information to other third parties where they are required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. You can opt out of having your activity on Services made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. 6.3 Content Filtering

We strive to provide a safe and fair gaming environment for all players. We may use content filtering technology within our Services, including automated username filtering and abuse algorithms. 7. Information we Share

Except as described below, we do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose personal information to third parties (as these processing activities are defined under applicable privacy laws):

  • Service providers. We employ third parties located in and outside of your country of residence, to collect or process personal information on our behalf for the purposes described in Section 3. These purposes include conducting market surveys, providing IT and related services, facilitating credit card processing, facilitating live events, sending emails, or delivering and optimizing our Services. We require that any third party use the data only on our behalf and for purposes consistent with this policy.
  • Business partners. We may provide personal information to business partners with whom we jointly offer Services.
  • Disclosures to protect us or others. We may access, preserve, and disclose any information we store associated with you to external parties if we, in good faith, believe doing so is required or appropriate to: comply with law enforcement or national security requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; protect your, our or others' rights, property, or safety; enforce our policies or contracts; collect amounts owed to us; or assist with an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual illegal activity. In particular, if we receive a report that you have violated our policies , we may disclose that report and other relevant information to the platform on which you play our games.
  • Disclosure in the event of merger, sale, or other asset transfer. In the event of a reorganization, divestiture, merger, sale, or bankruptcy, we may transfer all information we collect to the relevant third party and will obtain your consent to do so if required by law or contract.
  • Third-party plugins. When third-party technologies or social tools are integrated into our Services, those third parties may collect information about your use of our Services. An example is the Facebook "Like" button.
  • Cross-Platform Sharing. Some of our games allow you to connect and play with friends and members of a game's community, regardless of what platform they play on. In such cases, that other platform may receive your platform's ID along with other information necessary.
  • With Your Consent. We may share information with other third parties with your express consent, unless otherwise described above. For example, you may agree to us sharing your information with a certain company or organization to hear about their products, services, or promotions, or if you tell us that you want to link your TimePlay account with another company’s services. Use of the information you agree to share will be subject to those third parties' respective privacy notices.
  • Quiz Licensors. We may disclose your PII and information to our Licensors (such as Jeopardy Productions Inc.) for marketing purposes where we have received your consent to do so and in accordance with applicable state, federal, or provincial laws. 8. Where We Hold Your Information

We are a global business, which means we may need to store or transfer your personal information to a country other than the one you live in. This means your Personal Information may be subject to the laws of a foreign jurisdiction including but not limited to foreign governments, courts, law enforcement and regulatory agencies. These countries may also not have the same information protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your Personal Information to other countries, we will protect that information as required by law, for example, by signing Standard Contractual Clauses.

Our servers are primarily located in the United States and Canada.

Despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet will always remain secure, which is why we encourage you to take appropriate steps to protect your information, such as creating strong passwords and not sharing your passwords with anyone.

10. Your Choices and Controls

We give you meaningful choices when it comes to our collection and use of your information. For example, if you no longer want to receive marketing emails from TimePlay, you may click the unsubscribe link included in the footer of any marketing email we send.

You can exercise any of your privacy rights by contacting us at privacy@timeplay.com. To protect your account security and personal information, you may be asked to verify your account ownership. Once you have verified your account ownership, you may also be required to provide your confirmation authorizing an agent to exercise these rights on your behalf.

  • Your right to deletion. You may delete your TimePlay account and the personal information associated with your account by contacting us at privacy@timeplay.com. If you do so, you will no longer have access to the TimePlay games or Services associated with your account. Note that TimePlay may retain information needed to resolve disputes, enforce our user agreements, protect our legal rights, and comply with technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of our Services.
  • Your right to access. You can access the personal information we hold about you please contact us using privacy@timeplay.com to request access to your personal data,
  • Your right to correction. You can request correction of your personal information where it is inaccurate by emailing your request to privacy@timeplay.com.
  • Your right to opt out or object to certain processing. You may have the right to opt out of disclosing, sharing, or selling your personal information to third parties, if applicable, or object to some processing of your data, where such requests are permitted by law.
  • Do Not Sell My Personal Information. You have the right to opt-out of selling your personal information to third parties. Once we receive and confirm a verifiable consumer request form from you, we will stop selling your personal information.

11. Third Party Services

Our Services may contain advertising or links to third-party services. If you click on those links, including an advertisement, you will leave our site and go to the third-party service or site that you selected. If you visit a third-party website or use a third-party service, you should consult that service's or site's privacy policy as your use of third-party sites or services is governed by their privacy policies.

12. A Special Note About Children

Users of our Service must be at least 13 years old. No children under 13 are eligible to use our Service and we specifically request that persons under the age of 13 do not submit any personal information to us. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from persons under the age of 13.  If you have reason to believe that we may have accidentally received personal information from an individual under age 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@timeplay.com.

Some of our games may have higher age restrictions than 13. In these cases, you will be required to confirm that you are of age to participate.

13. Changes to Our Policy

We may from time to time make changes to this Privacy Policy and we encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on August 12, 2024. We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review. We will post our up-to-date Privacy Policy on our Services, or where applicable, use the venue’s Privacy Policy. We suggest that you review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time as our Services evolve or as required by applicable laws. If there are material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you, such as sending you a notification or posting it on our Services.

14. Your California Privacy Rights

Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code permits California residents to request from a business, with whom the California resident has an established business relationship, certain information about the types of personal information the business has shared with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of the third parties with whom the business has shared such information during the immediately preceding calendar year. You may make one request each year by contacting us at the mailing address or e-mail address referred to below.

Complaints and inquiries lodged with the Privacy Office will be responded to in accordance with applicable laws. You may be contacted in this time to validate your identity before we can proceed with your request. In cases where we cannot comply with your request, we will offer you feedback as to the reasoning behind our decision. If a request is not fulfilled to your satisfaction, you have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority or privacy commissioner, as the case may be.
